  • Porphyrins and related organic compounds for dye-sensitized solar cells, polymer solar cells, and polymer memory devices, etc.
       We are interested in using porphyrins and the derivatives for solar cell, chemical sensor, and catalysis related researches. Porphyrins as well as organic photo-sensitizers with strong absorptions in the visible and near-IR region are under investigation for dye-sensitized solar cell as well as polymer solar cell applications. For sensor or catalysis related studies, porphyrins are used in solutions or polymerized on electrode surfaces in order to detect harmful materials or catalyze substance of interests. For catalysis, we are interested in using porphyrins for oxidative and reductive catalyses.
